About CTMFS Limited

The Community Trade Mark (CTM) register is administered by OHIM. It was introduced in 1996 to cover the whole of the European Union and CTM registrations are valid in all 27 Member States. Therefore, it can be far more cost effective to file a CTM than register national marks in many individual states.

Using our proprietary software, we extract the data found in your UK application and apply this across the required CTM documents. You will then receive an application pack from us containing guidance notes along with the relevant paperwork already prepared for you to simply check, sign and post to OHIM (the EU trade mark office)*†. According to the OHIM web site* 87% of applications go through unopposed. If down the line you are unfortunate enough to have an application opposed, then you might decide to instruct a Trade Mark Attorney to act on your behalf. In such a situation, we would be happy to recommend an attorney if required.

You are not required to take any other action at all. However, if you wish to inform us via our web form on the website we are happy to opt you out of any future correspondence.

Your data has been obtained from a public database of UK Trade Mark applications and registrations.

Not to us. However, there are filing fees payable to OHIM at the time you decide to submit the application we have prepared for you. These fees are dependent on the number of classes used in your application. The standard application fee payable to OHIM is €1,050 for up to 3 classes and is then an additional €150 per additional class above 3.

No. All services we offer are completely independent to any existing services you are subscribed to or any Trade Marks you may hold (such as a UK Trade Mark registered via IPO).
